Maybe You

I lost you:
You walked through,
The union we never had.
I tried to close you down,
But you just walked on by.
Just to kiss your sweet lips would be enough,
Only now maybe you’re gone forever.

All on my own,
With no-one to hold.
All on my own,
With no-one to hold.

Now I stand alone,
Once bitten, twice shy.
I know I’m stronger,
But I still wonder.
What it is to love.
I hope you’ll come back, maybe.

All on my own,
With no-one to hold.
All on my own,
With no-one to hold.

Say you love me,
And I’ll come running back.
Or call me on the telephone.
I would need just that.
To be with you, maybe.
